Gourd and Bombilla Gift Set

Wonderful mate gourd and bombilla straw set, including Bombo leather mate gourd and Alpaca spring bombilla.

Original hand made leather maté gourd representing a typical Argentinian 'bombo legüero' (drum), so called because it is said it can be heard at a great distance ('legua' means league, unit of distance).

Includes wonderful Alpaca spring bombilla straw. Excellent quality craftmanship, can be opened for an easy cleaning. No two designs are exactly alike.

To prepare the maté infusion, fill the maté gourd with yerba mate up to 3/4 of its capacity. Pour a little bit of hot water (not boiled) (Approx. 158º F). Wait a few seconds and replenish the mate with more hot water. Then insert the bombilla into the mate. Sip gently the infusion using the bombilla.

Please note that because each piece is handmade there may be variations in sizes.
